My Mother’s Birthday

The book I will have ready by Christmas. May need to consult! For now we will just celebrate the birdthday.

Always entirely worth the greyhound ride or train or lucky days car home for my mother’s birthday.

I come back enriched, transformed, newly appreciative and deeper of spirit. By happenstance of living in Toronto, that Ontario which thrives behind here and Windsor, between Windsor and here, and the entire embrace among my family and friends, however the days flow out. This year’s seemed even more transformative and remarkable for what she takes on in the course of such a still intense way of life. It gives me the whirls hearing of her days, imagining how such adventuring would tire me out. Such a life.

…What I’ve written for this blog I’m now thinking ought to be in a book. I’ve grown so accustomed to the online, poetry, and the book, a poetic biography
