Cloverfield of Feral Deer

Filed under: Uncategorized — oversion @ 3:02 am

Amazements today. The sun was brilliant and high rising clover dense amid other flowers all the way along the subway track and down from the bus stop in Downsview.

Crossing the parking lot for a wide expanse of clover ravines, I was satisfied with the pic, and when I brought the camera down, noticed right there, 10 feet from me, deer (the fawn was unbeknownst in the previous picture.)

I spoke all nice to them: “hello sweety pies, how are you today?” They gazed a bit, then the elegant mom started away.

The mom’s leaps seemed to clear about 9 to 12 feet each time, superquick, with the fawn tunnelling along behind.

This would certainly be pretty ordinary in deer country, but it’s in Toronto.

Drive carefully!
