Ice Links Canada US Windsor Detroit Border!

Such a deep river at its core, the narrow channel between Windsor and Detroit optically removes itself in the event of icy temperatures. It’s an extraordinary sight to those accustomed to the chasmic and categorical divide between our worlds, so distinct in all but nightlife and radio waves. Like some classic dream, Ingmar Bergman and the Day Detroit and Windsor became one. And we simply walk into that dream…

  1. Thanks for these photographs. I have not seen the river frozen like that for many years. All the footsteps remind me that there is no way home except for those who take the ice bridge when it presents itself. Salvatore.
