beyond the red, the array

Filed under: Uncategorized — oversion @ 3:30 am

Yesterday (Thursday) I forgot to carry my camera for first time in a while, that early moist grey cool dawn the gulley (or outflow from under dufferin north) was still somewhat bedarkened, and 8 times as many trees had turned red yellow and orange; then, I saw the first feral cat in the area since they all vanished in May. (Word is that whoever it was with the shopping cart that used to feed them gathered them, tho as ive said several times hard to believe the gem cat would be in on that (ya and your pet wild rat doesn’t chew wood) Naturally today I was up with the camera as soon as I was off the bus. These, like photos when perfect ice or snow coats all the trees evenly, are protoclassics: they are just the sort of stupid photos some international yahoo wall post server gadfly of corporate internet might nab and present showing their talented amateur appreciation but I don’t worry because it’s a real gulley under dufferin north and not likely to ever be destroyed within generations of the present, and my appreciation is for the wonders of that gulley and tribute to it:

of course, what visit to dufferin north is complete with red light runners

made me half manic: two vehicles run the red full on together, then the wave of cars after them does too!

5 cars ran the one red, which is a short red light. I took a few more pics, then watched the light go red again and got this one busy running the subsequent red light. who cares if you run over john barlow wherever going friend!

after all, john barlow is also just one person trying to pass through that intersection alive, get to work, pay the taxes and employment insurance and cpp f sakes

here is a person actually driving a car through it at the intended juncture. Loud Applause! and even colour coordinated

and the workday ends! praise deities, the workday ends

Night Falls, Paradise

I actually got off the bus a stop early to walk up approach it

  1. The trees are utterly beautiful. I hope you take more photographs when they turn yellow, brown, gold and red.

  2. look at the first two car photos:
the little grey car is entering and the light is already red
but that black car behind it all that way also runs that red (as shown)

  4. Foliage colours appreciated. Good eyes essential & this photographer has them. Road pics always meditative. Cynicism not the answer, however, to the horrors of the red light runners. Good for you in obstaining these photos, however. Could be forwarded to authorities if you concentrate on license plates, eh? Today I am finally past having perfect house for appraisal. All walked through and over. Whew! I can start writing again on Saturday. Scrub, mop, clean, sweep, wash, tile, paint, brush, unpile, throw out, free table, eleven garbage bags hauled off, escher off door, (gotta get him back on), now able to enjoy the great pics.
