Penns Cup Win, Loneliest Cat in the World

A day to vividly display the highs and lows of life in this world. While the Pittsburgh Pennsylvanians celebrate an awesome example of overcoming when all had seem so lost and impossible, the skinny failing cat of the lots behind my work was showing himself to be on his las legs. It was heart breaking to see. All I can assume is that elders of that little cat colony in the shipping yard two lots over, including its mother, had a new generation of tiny ones to feed and he was shoved out from home too soon, …or was ill and made outcast? Already having grown accustomed to the wholly ill advised preference he has for wandering pointlessly in the big empty parking lot behind us, today, he was on our side of the fence, absurdly curled up looking into the open shipping doors of our immediate neighbours. When I went out with a handful of dry food he actually approached.

He got up and walked a few feet, sipped from a puddle, came forward towards me further, and sat, still 30 feet away. I thought, either he has the hyper thyroid condition and is making all the wrong choices, or maybe he actually knows I might help him. I had food in hand and doubts that if I set it on the girter he’d go to it, so I approached. Unfortunately he then started away, wobbling and slow. Most tragic watching him fail on the little jump to the girter. But he pulled himself up, squeezed under the fence, and had made it about 10 feet along when I got there to peer through and see where he was. It appears he is losing fur. Though it looks oddly precisely shaved, more likely that is part of his illness. As you can see, his legs barely support him, and if vets had shaved him for spaying or neutring surely they’d not release him or her back so weak and unable to function. Or the process was traumatic? He can’t survive long like that. lonely cat nowhere to goteam photo aussie horizontal

Ironies ironies, eh, today on CBC Iranian Canadians were interviewed about the screwed up election in Iran, titular parody of an elected government, overseen by genderist clerics who seem to approve of torture and abuse as a means of forced obedience if not conversion every time. A State inforcing violently petulant old school conformism. And how to resist it? And be arrested in the night and brought to a sadistic prison. While the mockery of democracy goes forth, is sent up for perverse observation, almost used simply to reveal opponents to the regime. Just a gripping grim scenario for people who would live very differently. A lethal irony. The “grip on power” which “as history shows” does not last long. The villains shall pass, as quickly as ill cats. New people and animals will confront the earth’s green window of consciousness and new arrangements, arrayments, unfold.
Until the meteorodes…

The cloud photo of the buffle headed cat taking on a possum was an inspiring sight to see later in the day/ Don’t forget it’s not like I go home after such an emotionally confounding encounter like that with the cat /
To moon away, a poet’s ennui / Rather, it’s back to the task I was fucking up. Unbelievable / there should be a problem with that, it’s such a compli- cations ironed out type of task / but once it’s askewe it is no longer effortless to get it back in place. / It’s like losing 5-0 sometimes.
The little cat is losing 10-0. Sensible modes of government are losing about 9-2 in Iran. / Viewing from afar the actions of mere individuals are often equated with the actions of State or as revellations of the intent of the collective / which doesn’t beg off the criticism of the state

Anyway congrats to the Penns. I think Cherry’s criticism of Crosby has
made Crosby more popular with people. He’s identified partly as the
star who weathers the nagging of a self-appointed authority figure,
and prevails. Crosby should win a few Cups, and they’ll carefully hold
back awarding him the Conn Smythe to anoint some future Cup as ultimate. Malkin had a superb playoff though. And players like Talbot, Fedotenko and Letang. Gill and Scuderi, Eaton, Orpik, Guerin.

And the Red Wings, for all their seeming a wouldbe fading dynasty,
are actually a young team. That next generation looks like it can do it.
Super Detroit. Mike Ilitch’s astounding impremateurship, imagine
delivering pizzas in Detroit? Awesomely sound people involved.

Cheers to Mario. His happiest looking Cup yet.

I’ll call the skinny cat with no hind hair little mario. Anyway no chance
he can eat dry food at this point. I dunked some in water for today,
but next week wet food is going into the opening there under the
fence. At least he comes back each day, around the same time.
The scrawny brown one was back there earlier in the week as well.
It seems all the human help is driving them out of their truck yard.

Saw gem a few times this week, not sick, healthiest largest cat I’ve seen.
The pictures didn’t turn out.
