My original poetry magazine OVERSION valued density of page space and the thrill of toner expanded so that one could see the artwork going on in the toner, rich shamanistic artwork as one sees in clouds.
No matter whats happens the clouds are always there.
Those aren’t ‘photoshopped’ i don’t use it anyway
but there are computer functions for photos i sepia’d this cloud one:
rather that one was trimmed. Here is another attempt to the find the one that was sepia’d:
My friend the gem cat from the ravines up in Downsview I’m starting to realize or surmize or starting to think, the one I think of as the momcat is not unresembled by the progeny. The cat I call the gem cat is to my knowledge the lone survivor of her brood last August. The ravine cats I’m most longterm familiar with are the momcat, gemcat, the slightly more orangy one and the total orange cat maybe related who knows. Momcat and gem are the two, they know what they’re doing, both survived last winter, other animals come and go but the momcat & gem and the groundhogmom hold down the forage, all the others fly by the side like the extended family of swallows. Whom wonders and whon knows. Analyzing the new photos i took that for the mom cat friday morning when we crossed paths early in the morning, but seeing the photo, the resemblance to gemcat is close, unusual bodyshape, smaller than average cat, a sleek quick ravine variation
which is a zoom on friday’s first photo
These 3 are the same photo different focus. Partly trying to free the cat who is already free. The 3rd reminds me of Merwin’s spectacular lines “This must be what I wanted to be doing / Walking between two deserts, singing”
Also recently saw for myself the Scarborough Bluffs and we took some photos but first a couple more from near work, then a few bluffs greetings
i’ll perhaps start a new post, download’s sta’tin to lagz

i am fascinated to know the link between a review of Peter Brown’s “The Body and Society,” posted under the title “Thoughts from a tormented time,” and this blogpost. Perhaps the freedom of clouds and ravine cats, which you celebrate by way of capturing on film, echoes the early christian’s struggles against nature and toward god?? in the first photo, i like the heart made of absence and blue sky.
best,

cloud beings
Comment by oversion September 28, 2008 @ 5:34 amClouds may not be entirely benevolent. For sure they are watching us from a distinct advantage point. Is there some connection with our behaviour and the sudden unexpected downpours in the middle of the day? What kinda defence would, ‘The CLOUDS did it’ be? (Not entirely serious but they are masters of disguise). I’ve been writing about the ravine lately, trying to get 65 poems together. Sometimes I think it won’t happen. Rose
