Eternally Spinning Editions of all time, (oversion)

Filed under: Uncategorized — oversion @ 1:20 pm

what with the internet the world was lost to photocopy arts for a time, and photocopiers are such particular rarified machines it’s definitely a saturday mornings at 11am non-Olympics zone like 45 inch skateboarding in the greatest circumference of things. Nonetheless the best form of publishing outside the internet. photocopy books magazines collections anthologies items presentations have the virtues of infinite reproduceability, rapid regeneration, spontaneous renewal and daily freedom

it’s an end to control and limitation, rather infinite variation for the rest of time

add to it subtract from it expand it shrink it and rethink

also the end of fascinations with first editions

which ultimately become background material resurfacing

nostalgia oblique, because the 3rd edition for an event in some small town

33 copies made and 9 left at home, come back  with 3

back when there were more good photocopy shops and work ones weren’t digitalized river fork

on the whole, photocopy publishing is non advancing of careers which don’t exist anyway, eventually everyone learns that, but in the interim poetry and visuality zone out into the world adding a little bit to the parachute and tapestry

it’s often too beautiful to even cogitate at the time and other times quick and fleeting and only reconnected later as to what it was.

and suddenly all these people on buses in their kitchens who’d never buy a book of poetry are reading some pøems

  2. the “innovation saves lives” youtube added to the end of this is not part of original piece but again some kind of of autogenerated ad add-on from wordpress’s contractors
